Build Joy & Peace In Your Life

This therapeutic space will support you in regaining hope and empower you to create the change you wish to see in your life.

You Are Not Alone

In this era that we are living in, we have access to many more thoughts, beliefs, and things to do to and ways to be. We are given many messages on what it means to be a ‘successful, happy, and fulfilled person.” While knowledge is helpful, this information can be confusing, conflicting, and overwhelming.  What happens when you don’t feel like you fit the mold? Do you feel stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, or scared? Want to feel more joy or peace in your life? Are you unsure of what you even need in therapy?  Are you facing a situation in which you need help, want to try therapy, but don’t know where to start?

Sometimes when we are faced with a life stressor, experience something scary, are confused, want to work on ourselves/our relationships/our symptoms-but we don’t want to “burden” our friends and family-therapy can provide the safe space needed.

I work hard to ensure that the therapeutic space is safe for you to explore, try out new strategies, and get the support you need to address the challenges taking place in your life right now. I want to empower you to obtain the tools and knowledge you need to move forward in your life. I know talking to a stranger can be scary-what if you judge me? What if you think I’m crazy? What if I can’t be helped? What if I don’t know what I want?

These are all normal worries that people can have. Change can also be scary. Whether you want to have an alternative space to work on yourself, explore identity, work on relationships, your self-worth, your mental health symptoms, process traumatic experiences, in the role as caregiver, or want help with the challenges that can come with aging (either yourself or someone else in your life)- I recognize this, and we will go at the pace you need. Remember, you don’t have to know exactly what you “need” in therapy, together we can work to identify those needs to help you move forward.

“What I like most about change is that it’s a symbol for ‘hope’. If you are taking a risk, what you are really saying is, ‘I believe in tomorrow and I will be a part of it.’”

— Linda Ellerbee
